Chantry Academy recognised by PiXL
Chantry Academy has received an award from the PiXL Club for ‘Achieving Outstanding GCSE Results’ following a 22% increase in student attainment.
Headteacher Craig D’Cunha attended the PiXL Club awards ceremony at the Guildhall in London on Tuesday 8th September, where he received an award along with 19 other schools.
The PiXL (Partners in Excellence) Club is a group of 1,500 schools, all with a common aim of raising student attainment.
Mr D’Cunha said:
“I am very proud that Chantry Academy has been recognised for all of our hard work and determination, which all takes place with the aim of increasing opportunities for our students.
“The improvement in GCSE results means that 30 more students had a choice for their college course and did not need to compromise on their ambition.
“This means that 30 more students have had doors opened to them and a boost towards the career that they aspire to in future.
“I would like to thank staff and parents for supporting the students and making a real difference to their futures, as well as congratulating the students on their hard work.”
