Meet our Academy Chaplain

Hi there. I'm Ant your Chaplain here at Chantry Academy!

 

I have been working with and mentoring young people for over a decade, and for CYM (a Youth and Children’s work charity based in Ipswich) for the past 5 years as their Senior Youth Work Coordinator.

After a successful first year partnering with the academy I am really looking forward to continuing to encourage, support and journey alongside students and staff as part of the school community.

Chaplaincy is simply caring about another’s welfare, well-being and offering a faith shaped presence at the heart of a community and here for everyone. I am around every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday working closely with the staff team to offer additional pastoral support and spiritual development.

I bring a listening ear, a little inspiration, opportunities for reflection and cultivate an even greater sense of belonging. Above all I hope to be a minister of encouragement. I believe "Encouragement is oxygen to the soul". Need a lift? Chat with the Chaplain.
