Chantry Academy celebrates students’ GCSE successes
We have been celebrating with our Year 11 students today as they achieved an excellent set of GCSE results.
Students at Chantry are joining young people across the country in receiving their results following the summer examination period.
All their hard work and determination has paid off, with students now able to celebrate their achievements and look ahead to the next stage of their journey, whether that be A-levels, college courses or apprenticeships.
The overall highlights for Chantry include:
- Best GCSE outcomes in four years.
- Improved across all key measures.
- English and Maths Grade 5+ increased by 9 percentage points.
- English and Maths Grade 4+ increased by 15 percentage points.
- Significant gains in Attainment 8 demonstrating improved overall student performance.
Our notable individual achievements this year include:
- Miley - achieved three top grade 9s in English Literature, English Language and Maths as well as four grade 8s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Statistics
- Quincy - achieved an impressive six grade 9s, including Maths, Further Maths and all three sciences
- Irina - achieved a grade 9 in French and a further four grade 8s, including English and maths.
- Freddie - achieved four grade 8s including English and Maths and two grade 7s in History and Chemistry
