Careers Education
The careers education, information and guidance at Chantry Academy is delivered by Alltogether and our Social Ethics Curriculum.
Alltogether is an external, independent and impartial careers guidance service who will support students to aim high in their career goals and aspirations.
Our careers adviser Vicky Richards is in school every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and is based in the careers office in the Library.
Appointments are made for the students in Year 11 and are a compulsory part of the careers support programme in school. If students wish to contact Vicky they can email her at: vrichards@chantryacademy.org
All Together Guidance Professionals are pivotal in the delivery of new statutory duty in schools to provide students with Independent Careers Guidance.
Mixing traditional, friendly and robust guidance with employer engagement expertise across education and employment spaces, an All Together Guidance Professional brings employers together to create an enriched matrix of careers education both in and outside of school.
Working at Chantry Academy as an additional resource on Monday, Tuesdays and Fridays, an All Together Guidance Professional offers personalised guidance services to students whilst establishing the Better Journey to Work programme across Years 7-11.
An All Together Guidance Professional will support the development and facilitation of A Better Journey to Work including an emphasis on new Traineeships and increasing Internships and Apprenticeships for young people.
In school, the Assistant Principal, Mr Moseley, is the SLT careers contact and looks after CEIAG on a daily basis. Please see him at any time for advice or guidance. He can be contacted by email at: tmoseley@chantryacademy.org

Assessing the impact of our Careers Programme on pupils
Staff continually assess the impact of the Career provision. Outside organisations will provide the school with questionnaire feedback which will be kept and reviewed as part of the annual review to ensure that the programme is suitable. We will use our external partners to ensure our students get the most up to date and relevant information possible.
Evaluation of Programme
It is important that we measure the impact of our strategy through student, employer and parent feedback.
We also track the destinations of our students Post 16.
We use the Careers and Enterprise Company’s Compass Tool self-assess our strategy against the Gatsby Benchmarks.
Our careers provision is monitored by
- Tommy Moseley, Assistant Principal – Raising Aspiration Lead
- Lucy Bayliss - Link Governor
- Vicky Richards, AllTogether
